Program Description: “Survival Outsourcing: How to Survive these Tough Economic Times”   This presentation combines material from Bob Booton’s book entitled “Outsourcing – in- a – Box”along with another presentation entitled “Tips on Successful Outsourcing  in China”.
What you will learn:

  • Why the “Conventional Thinking” about surviving in tough times is “All Wrong!”
  • What you should be doing with your outsourcing partners
  • Where products should be built today?
  • What are the pros and cons of contract manufacturing in China and India
  • What to “look out for”…. What are the pitfalls out there

Speaker:

Bob Booton for his “Day Job” is the Vice President of Operations for Cypress Envirosystems…a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor; a leading Silicon Valley based technology company with over $2 billion in annual sales.
For his “Other Job” Bob continues to run The BootonGroup, an Operations and Supply Chain consulting company that he founded. Working with mid-market companies from High-Tech to Industrial to Consumer, his teams provide Outsourcing and Operations support.   He has developed and managed complex supply chains in Asia, Mexico, and Europe.
