President

Rick Merritt, CPIM is currently the President of APICS Santa Clara Valley Chapter. He is currently working in Supply Chain Management at Applied Materials. During his 30 year materials career, he has held several management positions with Acurex, Hexel, JDSUniphase. As a past guest lecturer at Arizona State University, Rick has spoken on such topics as Supply Chain management, materials management and quality.

Executive Vice President

Paul A. Long Sr, CPIM, CPPS is the Executive Vice President of APICS Santa Clara Valley Chapter. Paul is a Lead Buy Part Controller (Senior Staff) with Lockheed Martin, Space Systems and supports the Avionics group in Sunnyvale, California. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Paul was a member of the SAP Implementation Team at the Northrop Grumman facility in Azusa, California and responsible for developing process supporting the SAP users? Paul’s prior experience includes positions in Customer Service, Production Planning, Shop Floor Control, Capacity Planning, Expediting, Dispatching and Master Scheduling. Paul is an individual dedicated to life long learning and professional development. and has a B.A. in Business and is currently pursuing his M.S. in Organizational Leadership. In addition to APICS Paul is a member of NPMA, ISM, PMI and LMLA. He is CPIM certified a past chapter president and has taught Manufacturing and Inventory Management classes at the San Gabriel, California Chapter of APICS. Additionally Paul is certified in Systems Engineering (CalTech), Project Management (UnivCal Irvine), ISO 9000 (Perry Johnson).

Sue Nelson, CFPIM is Past President and VP of Marketing for Pacific Northwest District. She has been an associate of M.N. Nelson & Associates since 1993. Her background includes ten years in Sales, Marketing and Distribution followed by over fifteen years in Computer Operations and Manufacturing/Inventory Management. With a degree in Computer Programming, she has been instrumental in the successful implementation of a variety of ERP systems. Sue has been an active member of APICS for over ten years, serving as President of the Portland, Oregon Chapter and Region Ten Staff. She is certified in CPIM at the Fellow level and is currently in the process of CIRM certification. Sue has presented at 4 APICS International Conferences, multiple professional society dinner meetings, numerous universities and teaches all CPIM Certification Preparation Workshops for APICS.

VP Secretary/Treasurer Terry Myers, is currently the chapter's Vice President Secretary and Treasurer.
