Do most students take more than one class at a time or does it vary?
It depends on how much time you can spend. You could take two classes at a time (that would be 3 nights a week) or a Saturday class.
Can you estimate the number of homework hours per class?
Based on the student, (how long on the job/variety of jobs, etc) about 3 ? 10 hours per class per week. (Dictionary study, read workbook, read study guide, answer practice questions, general study)
Are textbooks required?
There are is one reference book that is highly recommended for all of the CPIM classes,
Manufacturing Planning & Control, newest edition (5th) by Vollman, Berry and Whybark.
Introduction to Materials Management by JR Tony Arnold is an optional textbook for the
Basics class. They are both available for purchase through Amazon.com.
